Conditions of Membership
Welcome.
We at GroupInterVisual™
see no need for copious, complex and unintelligible Terms and Conditions. There
is, however, a need for a few basic ground rules, set out in plain language, so
you know what our policies are in a few key areas. The general idea behind these
is that we want to provide a sense of clear boundaries, where you know what to
expect of us and what we expect of you. And we want also to provide a conducive
environment, where users can enjoy being together. We believe the following conditions
of use help us provide that. By registering, you are agreeing to abide by them.

Rules about the Rules By
using our service, you are agreeing to be bound by all of these terms and conditions.
If you don't agree to being bound by the terms below, you shouldn't use GroupInterVisual.
We may change or update these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued
use of GroupInterVisual means that you accept any new or modified terms. Please,
therefore, check back here from time to time. If
any provision in this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions
will continue in full force and effect. This Agreement shall be governed by the
laws of England and Wales as if the Agreement was a contract wholly entered into
and wholly performed within England. 2/
Responsibility You
agree to take responsibility for your conduct on our site and specifically, to
indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GroupInterVisual™,
and its parent, affiliates, directors, officers and employees from and against
any claim, liability, cost, damage or loss we may incur (including, without limitation,
legal fees) as a result of any material you post in our communities or any violation
by you of your obligations under these terms and conditions. GroupInterVisual™
cannot and does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of the news, information,
advice or other content found on our site, or its usefulness for any particular
purpose. You
understand and acknowledge that information posted or transmitted by other users
is the sole responsibility of the person from which such material originated.
GroupInterVisual™
takes no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or even truth of the information
posted here. All information provided on GroupInterVisual™
is to be used on an "as is, with all faults" basis. We
make no promises that our content or the service itself will be delivered to you
uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Summarising
the above, you agree that under no circumstances shall GroupInterVisual™
be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or any other type of loss or injury
resulting from your or anyone else’s use, or downloading of any content on our
site. This includes, but is not limited to, loss or injury caused in whole or
in part by our negligence or by contingencies beyond our control in creating or
delivering any portion of GroupInterVisual™. While
we can't review all transmissions by our users, GroupInterVisual™
reserves the right to monitor any information transmitted or received through

Conduct GroupInterVisual™
champions active and open engagement among our members. All that we ask
is that it's done in a lawful and civil manner – be it videoconferencing via our
videoconference communities, posting on our boards, accessing our chat facilities
or using our system to email another user directly. Accordingly, you agree
to use GroupInterVisual™
for lawful purposes only. You may not use, or allow others to use, your GroupInterVisual™
membership to: - Post or transmit any content
that is abusive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, unlawful, threatening,
harassing, or defamatory or which discloses private or personal matters concerning
any person;
- Post or transmit any material
that you do not have a right to transmit under law (such as copyright, trade secret
or securities) or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (as in nondisclosure
agreements);
- Post, transmit, or link to sexually
explicit material;
- Impersonate any person or entity,
or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with anyone or entity;
- Post or transmit statements
that are intentionally false or misleading;
- Post or transmit any advertising,
promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation including chain letters
or pyramid schemes;
- Intentionally violate any applicable
law or regulation while accessing and using our site;
- Collect or store personal data
about other users;
- Post or transmit any file that
contains viruses, corrupted files, "Trojan Horses," or any other contaminating
or destructive features that may damage someone else's computer.
You
are responsible for all statements made and acts that occur through the use of
your membership and password. Please don't disclose your password to anybody.
If your password has been stolen, you must let us know. 4/
Copyright, Protection of Intellectual Property and Trademarks Our Content Except
as expressly provided in this Agreement, all of the content on this site is the
property of GroupInterVisual™
and is protected by UK and international copyright laws. "Content" means
any information, mode of expression, or other material and services found on GroupInterVisual™.
This includes discussion boards, chat, software, our writings, graphics, video
or other media files and any and all other features found on the site. Our content
is intended for individual, personal use only. Accordingly, you may make one copy
of our content for your personal, non-commercial use, provide that any material
copied remains intact and includes the following notice: "Copyright 2000-2001
GroupInterVisual™.
All rights reserved." Any other copying, distribution, storing or transmission
of any kind, or any sort of commercial use of our content is strictly prohibited
without our prior written permission. GroupInterVisual™
is the trademark of GroupInterVisual™:
You agree not use or display the aforementioned mark in any matter without our
prior written consent. Your Content GroupInterVisual™
does not own the information you post on our discussion boards. However, you agree
that GroupInterVisual™
shall have an unlimited license to republish anything that you post in our areas.

Sanction GroupInterVisual™, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, may at
any time review, remove, or otherwise block any post or transmission, or terminate
your membership without compensation for violating any of the provisions contained
herein.6/
Use of Your Information By
submitting information to us on registration as a member of GroupInterVisual™,
you consent to our using this information in the ways set out in our Privacy Policy.

Membership and RegistrationBy
registering, you represent that all information you provide in the registration
is accurate. Users may only maintain one active registration. By accepting this
agreement, you warrant that you have no other registration with GroupInterVisual™. As
a registered user, you can change your password and your username, or change the
details on your profile, if you have activated this facility, at any time. For
more information on these facilities, you can click the Edit Account and Edit
Profile links, top right. Also, if you forget your log-in name or password, you
should use the automated password retrieval system on the log-in page and the username or password
will given to you, as long as you are able to answer correctly the personal questions
you submitted to us when you registered. If this doesn't help, you can contact
us at the e-mail address given on that page. Once
you have completed your registration, you may access all GroupInterVisual™
services available at your level of membership by pointing your browser to www.groupintervisual.net
and clicking the log-in button 01 October 2001 |
